A Look Into The Sherlock Casebook
One of our listeners got her hands on the Casebook fairly early thanks to a book fair and agreed to do a little write-up about it. So here you go! Thanks Linda!

You can buy the casebook [HERE]
The Baker Street Babes kindly asked me to do a little write up about the SHERLOCK Casebook I bought last week at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
So my friend (imadecoffeejohn.tumblr.com) and I took a close look at the book. The introduction to the Casebook is a ‘rebirth of Sherlock Holmes’. It’s the story of Steven and Mark discussing the idea on a train and how many actors played Sherlock Holmes before and what’s different about the BBC one. There are about 20 pages for each episode/case. Between the cases you can find short information (2 pages) about their flat, John’s biography or the adventures of differing deerstalkers. There are also facts about the original stories used in each episode and other additional information, e.g. for ‘A Scandal in Belgravia’: The Hat or Vatican Cameos
The best about the book are the post-its. There are hundreds of post-its between Sherlock and John, which could easily be found on the fridge of a married couple. They make headcanons come true and fangirl hearts beating faster. I’m not quite sure if I should tell you that tumblr is mentioned on a post-it. But now you know.
And if you want to break your heart: just read the last page.
The SHERLOCK Casebook is exactly what every fan needs (besides season 3). So if you have the opportunity to spend 15 Pounds: Buy it ;-)Best wishes, Linda zeilenkrieg.tumblr.com

Arthur Shappey’s Toblerone Cookies
Sorry St Petersburg-ians, I’m afraid you might have to sit this one out – but everyone else, be sure to pick up a Toblerone next time you pass through an airport because these are not to be missed! In true Cabin Pressure style, it took us three attempts to perfect this recipe, because we knew exactly what we wanted for Arthur’s dream-bake: fat, indulgent cookies, studded with giant chunks of Toblerone, melty soft in the middle with that unique chocolate-honey-nougat flavour soaked all the way through. And lucky for him we cracked it, because this cookie recipe is as close to perfect as we’ve ever baked! Yellow car!
Ingredients (for about 16)
- 150g butter
- 75g caster sugar
- 50g light, soft brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 175g plain flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Toblerone! I used a standard 100g bar, but ideally you’d want about one and a half. If I were doing this again I’d hunt down a milk and white Toblerone and use two thirds of each, but feel free to pick your own favourite flavours.
Also, I can’t officially endorse this
because I’m an idiot and left the bottle at Amy’s so couldn’t try itbut it might be nice to splash a bit of almond extract in there to bring out the nutty flavour in the chocolate. Your call!- Preheat the oven to gas mark 4, 180°C or 350°F. Grease and line a couple of baking trays.
- Cream the butter with the white and brown sugar.
- Beat the egg, vanilla and honey together and pour in gradually while stirring.
- Sift the flour and baking powder into the mix and beat into a smooth dough.
- Chop up the Toblerone then work it into the dough.
- Glop the dough onto the tray, using a big teaspoon’s worth for each cookie. Make sure to give them enough space to expand.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes. It’s important not to leave these in for too long, otherwise you lose that gorgeous gooey centre! Whip them out as soon as the top is golden and crispy.
- Transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool.

A new vending machine has been released which can print any book within minutes.
The Espresso Book Machine has access to 500,000 different books - the same as 23.6 miles of shelf space - and can even churn out a fresh copy of Crime and Punishment in just nine minutes.
Pages are printed at a rate of over 100 per minute and are then pressed, glued and cut to produce a pristine book.
Users simply pick the book they would like on a screen and wait for it to be printed … it certainly is a novel way of getting a new book.

“I’m bored,” my husband said. “I’m going out for a bit.” I looked up from my laptop. “Alright,” I said. “I’m still writing, see you when you get back.” Two hours later, he comes home, with this. And an apology (“I was going to get you a deerstalker, but I know your head is massive and I didn’t want it to be too small”). And this, my friends, is why I married him.

I need to find a man like this.
That bear is so cuuuute :3
